Joshua 24:15

...as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. ~Joshua 24:15

As of late...

We have had a very busy and wonderfully fun few week. The sun has been shining. We gained two more kids for these 16 days while our dear friends were in Greece for a missions trip. I don't know what I thought this time was going to be like. I knew it would be fun but I had no idea that it would be so easy. These two kids are such good ones, big thanks to their amazing parents! I am so blessed to know them :) They were super helpers, ate all their food, didn't complain and were so nice to each other and all the other kids here during this time. We have adopted their family motto, A NEED SEEN IS AN ASSIGNMENT GIVEN. I love this and want my family to really grasp this one.

We also had our best friends and their families come and stay with us for 5 of those days! That made 6 adults and 13 kids (+1, the little guy I watch, for a couple of those days) All the kids got along famously. An answer to prayer! You never can tell how it will go when there are so many little personalities in one house. We kept our 2 girlies and a Jones' girl in our room with us, Our 2 boys and a Jones' boy got to sleep in a big tent in the mancave, Sconyers and their baby took our girls room, Sconyers 4 boys took our boys room and Schusters and their two kiddos took the playroom. We had such a great time. Playing games, devotionals, eating LOTS of food, staying up super late and really just loving each minute we all got to spend together. I am so, SO grateful for these friendships. We have know them for 10+ years and have had the privilege and blessing to watch all of these kids grow up together even if we're not next door neighbors. I share my heart with these girls and they with me. There is nothing quite like it. We have seen the best of each other and probably the worst. But we all still love each other like sisters. I really can't explain how thankful for that I am. So anyway I propose we make it happen more often. We called it the Millsconsters extended weekend :)

Missionary Jeff Murphy and his one of his boys came and stayed with us one night last week. What sweet fellowship that was! We missed Alise and the other two littles this time. Our boys and Timothy had such a fun time with Isaiah :)

We have been hosting bible study for church at our house on most Friday nights and averaging anywhere from 30-40 people. About 50% of them being kids. This has been such a blessing to Thomas and I.

Hmmm, what else? Ella Mae will be six months in 10 days! How did that time fly by so incredibly fast?! She has two teeth and is very curious. She would run to play with the big kids if she could get the coordination. Lyla Jane will be getting glasses in a couple weeks. She got the Miller left eye. Elijah is cruising through his 3rd grade school stuff and really loves making scavenger hunts for the little kids. Ethan is taking off on his reading again :) I love listening to him sound out words. Thomas' job is going great! They are hitting record sales and even with the challenges of managing 25 people he is enjoying it. And I am still getting into the groove of having 4 kids. Although these past few weeks have really helped me. Something about having more kids in the house and being able to serve others has bumped me out of this slump. Praise the Lord!
